Suicide Prevention National Network
Connect, share, learn and collaborate
The Suicide Prevention Scotland National Network is a place where professionals, volunteers and organisations involved in suicide prevention related activity can come together to connect, share, learn and collaborate. By creating a better connected, more informed community of practice around suicide prevention in Scotland, we hope that together we can promote the conditions which protect again suicide risk, increase understanding and awareness across our communities and services, and ensure that people who are affected by suicide receive the support they need.
By being part of the Network you can receive updates on work happening across Scotland, and invites to Network and other events being organised by Suicide Prevention Scotland.
You can join using the following form!
Want to connect with Network members?
We have also created a Knowledge Hub to allow members of the network to connect, communicate and collaborate.
The Knowledge Hub in a closed online group where you will be able to:
Post questions and queries on which your suicide prevention peers may have existing knowledge, answers or ideas
Share information about what you and your organisation are doing where relevant or of interest to the wider suicide prevention community
Sense check ideas and initiatives
Share documents, papers, articles or guidance which may be helpful to other members
Share the latest research from the academic community on suicide prevention and initiate discussions on how this can be practically applied across Scotland.
The Suicide Prevention Scotland National Network Knowledge Hub will allow you to do this quickly and easily and without the need to go through an intermediary.
This space is for you to engage with your peer community in a safe, non-judgemental, environment. It will allow you to access the wealth of knowledge and experience that exists within the Suicide Prevention community in Scotland, whether you are new to the topic area or have worked in the field for several years.
To join you need to create a free Knowledge Hub account and then request access to the closed group. Create your account and search for Suicide Prevention Scotland National Network and request to join the group.
It is very important to note that our Knowledge Hub is a community of professionals, and not a place for people to seek support with their own suicidality or for advice on situations which require an urgent response. We would also ask members not to share details of specific situations – although it’s a closed space, it is a large group and therefore not appropriate.
