Support is available for students and staff of Dundee and Angus College only.
For Students
We offer a range of front line mental health and wellbeing services including one to one support, counselling, and small group work. We work closely with other support teams to look at what students need to remain healthy and well. Staff with key skills are trauma informed and equipped for conversations around suicide and mental health.
We work closely with external agencies to access support to ensure students remain safe and supported. We offer a triage service 9-4pm everyday on campus so any student who feels they need urgent mental health support can drop in with no appointment. Through triage we access urgent support with other partners that students have struggled to contact themselves.
For Staff
D&A College provides information through the Wellbeing hub and the People Team Advisors advise through our Employee Assistance Programme. This has access to DAS and Dundee University Counselling and a range of other services. We have also offered CPD opportunities for a range of mental health and suicide prevention training, including SAFETalk and ASIST through our local partnership with the SAMH Suicide Prevention Officer.
