Enabling Conversations toolkit - resource for young people
The Enabling Conversations toolkit was designed by and for young people to find help and support when experiencing feelings about suicide. It was created by Suicide Prevention Scotland in partnership with the V&A Dundee.
This is a tool to help young people discover ways they can talk to others about feelings like self-harm and suicide, in a way that they feel comfortable and in control.
Young people can use this toolkit to help them:
-
Identify a safe and trusted person to talk to
-
Find an environment they feel secure in
-
Explore little things to keep them grounded
Most importantly it can give young people confidence in the methods they've chosen to explain their feelings their way, talk honestly about their situation, and build a support system around themselves.
