Support for you as a carer

We've prepared a list of different services that can support you as a carer.  

Services available 24 hours a day

  • NHS 24 - call 111 and choose the mental health option 

  • TextSHOUT’ to 85258

Call 999 if you are in immediate danger, or have the means to cause yourself immediate harm, for example by serious injury or overdose.

Other helplines  

  • Breathing Space -  0800 83 85 87 Open Monday to Thursday 6pm to 2am. At weekends, open between Friday 6pm and Monday 6am

  • SOS Silence of Suicide- 0808 115 1505 – 8pm to midnight Monday to Friday, 4pm to midnight Saturday and Sunday
