This content has been written using the principles of Time, Space, Compassion - Scotland’s national approach to suicide prevention.
These three words guide how we support others and ourselves when facing emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, crisis, or grief:
Time to listen, to understand and to be with someone at their pace.

Space to feel safe, heard and able to express difficult emotions.

Compassion to meet others with empathy, without judgment.
